Lakewood Piano Studio Policy
Registration fee (yearly materials fee plus first month’s tuition) must be paid with signed application in order to save a place in the studio.
Tuition for ½ hour lessons: $100.00 per month
Materials Fee: $40 per year due upon enrollment
Number of lessons: Thirty-four lessons during the school year including any rehearsals or playing parties. Two make-up lessons are automatically scheduled in May for any missed lessons during the year.
Tuition payments are due by the seventh of each month whether or not your child is in class. A $15 late fee will be charged for payments received after the 7th. Please make checks payable to Carole Tillotson. Automatic payment set up through your bank is the best way to pay tuition.
No refunds can be made for absences since expenses of the studio continue whether or not the student is in attendance. Long-term illnesses will be given personal consideration. No make-ups are given for missed lessons except as noted above.
Lessons cancelled because of teacher illness will be rescheduled or refunded by the end of the school year. Snow days – I will be here and ready to teach no matter what the weather. Please come if you feel that it is safe to do so. Otherwise lessons missed because of snow will be made up at the end of the school year.
We observe the Jefferson County School vacation schedule for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring recess. Lessons on Monday holidays will be held. Teacher workdays are NOT considered holidays.
All students are required to attend four lessons during the summer in order to save a place in the fall. Lessons may be scheduled weekly or two lessons in a week.
